White Noise is a science fiction based online comic by Melinda Timpone, featuring cinematic story telling with anime influences. The story of this webcomic has some adventure, some horror, some romance, and some superheroes, in the grand tradition of american comicbooks, but it also focuses closely on the characters and how they develop and express themselves, as in cinema and manga. Influences on White Noise include Evangelion, Fushigi Yuugi, Gundam Wing, X-Men, various Miyazaki movies, and Sanrio movies such as Unico and Sea Prince and the Fire Child which left quite an impression on me in childhood. Influences on the art itself were taken from Earthian, Death Note, Spiderman, and many Saturday morning cartoons from childhood.
